Our History

Francis X. Foley, a Vietnam Veteran, is an alumnus of Cardinal Dougherty High School and LaSalle University. He received his Funeral Director's license in San Francisco, CA. Before becoming a funeral director, Fran spent a few years teaching at ArchBishop Ryan Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He is a member of the VFW. He is also known for his kind and gentle demeanor with families we help.

Fran’s wife, Annette, assists him with the funeral work and provides grief care. She is a Bereavement Minister for the funeral home. Annette is a Navy Veteran and an alumnus of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls and attends LaSalle University part time. She is also a member of the American Academy of Bereavement and the Association of Death Education and Counseling.

Fran and Annette are active in their parish, Presentation BVM in Cheltenham, PA. Fran serves as an Usher for Sunday mass and helps with the grounds, when possible. Annette is a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and Coordinator for both the Adoration Chapel and Bereavement Ministry.

We know how important it is to be committed to helping others in every possible way. We make sure that this is reflected in our approach to families we serve. This commitment is also reflected in the energy and attention that we put forth as we work to bring peace to grieving families.

  • Francis X.  Foley passed away on March 14, 2022 .   His  life was dedicated to family and profession.  All of those he humbly served knew him for his compassion and outstanding service,   He was a man of  the highest standards,  helping anyone who asked for help.  He was a man of kindness,  Irish wit,  but most of all,  a man who loved his family and friends.    He cheated no one and gave services to those of little income. After his death, we tried to stay open but could not find another funeral director that would serve our families with the same heart and compassion.  In October of  2022, we closed our doors so that the name of  Francis X.  Foley Funeral Home would stay untarnished,  not allowing any other funeral professional to rob him of  his wonderful legacy of love.
